Iconic Motorsport Adventures

RV Motorhomes

Iconic Motorsport Adventures provides a self drive tour utilising modern RV motorhomes which enable the avid motorsport fan to park in RV parks at the circuit. This way you will experience all the tradition and party atmosphere that goes with an event like the Indianapolis 500.

The RVs are supplied by very reputable hire companies operating within the United States. They are easy to drive modern (normally less than two years old) vehicles, 26 - 27ft in length. They typically have 3 or 4 double bed configurations. They have a seperate shower and toilet, full fridge / freezer, gas oven with hobbs.

One major benefit of using RV motorhomes is the cost effectiveness they provide. They double as both transportation and accommodation, saving on expensive hotel costs. They also enable you to stay close to the motorsport action, soaking up the atmosphere.

Ideal configurations for RV motorhomes:

  • Couple - For privacy
  • Two couples - Who know each other well
  • Couple plus one or two singles
  • Three singles
  • Four singles

Maximum of four people per RV motorhome

Camping in the RV park at Indy is a great experience and provides the oportunity to show your patriotism. American motorsport fans are very friendly and welcoming towards kiwis who have travelled a fair way to support their star driver Scott Dixon. Everyone in the RV park has a common interest in motor racing and enjoys a good time.

The RV park soon fills up and the atmosphere is very festive, as american motorsport fans know how to party. On the Friday and Saturday night, Georgetown Road, between the park and the circuit is closed off so people can move along there freely in party mode, enjoying themselves. The other great thing is that the walk to your seats on Sunday morning, is all of about 300 metres
